Madeleine Phillipa Walker Alexandrina Council Port Elliot - Middleton I will bring university qualifications and experience in Urban & Regional Planning, Nursing and Business Administration to the important role of Councillor. I care about the quality of life in Alexandrina and want to participate in strategic development decisions for our future. I want Council to focus on important services that affect local lives like footpaths, roads and waste collections and reconsider the health and social investment benefits of a community swimming pool. I understand that Alexandrina also has role to play in South Australia's bigger issues like the state of The River Murray. I am a local small business owner/operator involved in my community; I am a member of the Local Health Advisory Council, and in 2009 I also started the Port Elliot Film & Music Festival to promote our region and local performance artists.
